Quartzite

Marble is a metamorphic rock containing a high concentration of calcite or dolomite. There are many variations of marble, based on the minerals which give it colour and veining.

It’s hard to match the classic elegance of richly veined marble benchtops. They make an ordinary kitchen or bathroom extraordinary, and when they’re combined with new cabinetry, the transformation is amazing.  Marble is porous and will stain unless sealed annually and spills are cleaned up immediately.

Granite is a natural stone, quarried from large igneous stone deposits found around the world. It begins as molten magma that flows into other rock structures and cools slowly.

Granite has a rich beauty that few other benchtop surfaces can match with a timeless aura and appeal. It is a very hard substance and with more than 20 shades to work with, you’ll find one that blends perfectly with your kitchen cabinets, flooring and walls. To safeguard against staining granite benchtops should be sealed regularly.

Quartzite is made almost entirely of the mineral quartz, with an added combination of calcite and silica. It begins its geological life as sand grains, that over time the combination of pressure and heat fuses together forming a dense, durable rock.

Quartzite is available in a wide variety of patterns and vibrant colours and like that of marble, with the added benefit of hardness (like granite). It is elegant with a luxurious feel, incredible veining and beautiful colouration. Like other natural stone benchtops, quartzite requires frequent sealing.
